Body mass Index - BMI is an approximate measurement of whether someone isOverweight or Underweight. It is a calculation that uses your Height and Weight to estimate how much Body Fat you have. Too much Body Fat is a problem because it can lead to illnesses and other health problems including:

Ø  Coronary heart disease
Ø  Stroke
Ø  Gallbladder disease
Ø  Type 2 diabetes

BMI Range……………..
v  If your BMI is less than 18.5, it falls within the "underweight" range.
v  If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, it falls within the "normal" or Healthy Weight range.
v  If your BMI is 25.0 to 29.9, it falls within the "overweight" range.
v  If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the "obese" range.

             Example: Weight = 68 kg, Height = 1.65 m (165 cm)
             Calculation: 68 ÷ (1.65)2 = 24.98
